Expressive Communication is the ability to express thoughts, needs,
feelings, and ideas. To put it simply, expressive communication means using
language, written or verbal, or any other way of catching attention (such as using
appropriate body language, voice modulation, hand gestures, facial expressions), to
express something.
Learner Task/ Activity: Every learner, individually or in a group, expresses a minimum of two different sentences with two different expressions
Suggestion: To get real-time feedback / comment / suggestions, perform in front of someone (family members / friends / teacher / classmates)

Properties required: Any that justifies the situation conveyed in the performance
Learning Objective:
– To develop confidence over language

Task / Activity Steps:
- Decide whether you want to perform individually or in a group.
- Think and decide a situation in which you wish to express self (If in a group, the group members have to think and decide with mutual understanding).
- Think, plan and ready the sentence/s according to the decided situation (If in a group, every group member must ready their sentences in the form of a role-play / skit, justifying the situation).
- Think, plan and ready the expression/s required for the decided sentence/s (If in a group, every group member must ready their expression/s required for the decided sentence/s, justifying the situation).
- Gather / Ready the required properties (such as the water bottle in the video lesson) so that the performance looks real.
- Rehearse / Practise, if required, before the final performance.
- Perform.
Learning Outcome: The learner starts enjoying the use of English language and starts building confidence over conveying thoughts, needs, feelings, emotions and ideas with expressive communication
